Mort & Co is a leading beef feedlot specialist in Australia and home to the internationally awarded Wagyu and Angus brands, The Phoenix and Grandchester. Our Grassdale Feedlot has recently undergone a major expansion, making it the largest in the country.

We currently have opportunities available for additional Feeding & Milling Hands to join our Grassdale team.


  • Previous experience is not required, and on the job training provided.
  • Opportunities for additional training and career progression.

  • Operation of modern feeding machinery and equipment, including front end loaders, feed trucks and forklifts/hay forks.
  • Operation of a modern steam flaking plant.
  • Plant maintenance and hygiene upkeep.
  • Timely and accurate record-keeping.
  • Maintaining a strong focus on Workplace Health and Safety and following all site policies and procedures.


  • Have a positive attitude, are keen to learn and embody the Mort & Co values.
  • Are effective communicators and understand the importance of teamwork.
  • Are observant, pay attention to details, ask questions and think ahead.
  • Embrace technology and look for opportunities to improve continuously.
  • Previous machinery operation experience with front end loaders, feed trucks, forklifts/hay forks will be beneficial but not essential.
