Area Sales Manager - Soil Nutrition
Newly created commercial role that focuses on regenerative ag based solutions. for broadacre and pasture based farming enterprises. Our client is seeking a motivated and commercially focused candidate to join their business to drive business development with a forward thinking customer base. Managing existing key distribution relationships that are well established, the role will drive engagement and business development activities on-farm with growers.
Their product range has a strong allegiance with regenerative farming practices with a focus on long term soil health and carbon sequestration. Whilst the role is commercial in nature, the successful candidate will need to have a technical understanding and experience in agronomy and/or soil science as the role will manage relationships with retail agronomists and consultants, as well as with end users (farmers).
Working as part of a national team, you will work closely with management in formulating and actioning sales plans and marketing activities. You will also attend relevant industry meetings, conferences, field days and seminars both locally and outside your region as required to both build networks, but also to stay engaged with industry. Applicants must be self-motivated and be able to work both independently, as well as part of a team. The role demands a confident and capable applicant, with excellent time management and communication skills and given the area to be covered by this position, time away from home base is a necessary and regular part of the role.
Ideally, applicants would hold relevant qualifications and/or experience in Agricultural Science / Agronomy and must have demonstrated understanding/experience in plant/soil nutrition. You will also have a strong demonstrated history in sales or have experience in a commercial role. Regardless, an understanding of broadacre, pasture and/or horticultural production systems will be critical.
A remuneration package will be negotiated based on experience and qualifications and there is genuine flexibility as to where the role can be based within the sales territory, dependent on experience and existing regional and relevant networks.
