Our client, a well known Egg Production company based in Canberra, require an enthusiastic Poultry Farm Hand labourer to join their dedicated team.

Specifications of the role:

• 10 days on & 4 days off
• Hours: 6.30am to approx 3.30pm
• Split shift every fortnight 6.30am to 10:30am returning 2:30pm to 10.30pm

Skills and abilities required for the role:

• Mechanical aptitude
• Good record keeping practices - IT literacy would be an advantage
• Ability to follow procedures in WH&S, biosecurity & quarantine procedures, animal welfare and food safety regulations
• Good communication skills will be essential - be able to clearly communicate to ensure understanding, engagement and commitment 
• Applicants MUST be caring and nurturing towards animals
• Physically able to perform manual work tasks and be on your feet for long periods of time
• Clean and tidy presentation
• Ability to initiate action and commit to achievement of business outcomes by taking accountability for goals

To be successful in this position you must:

• Be physically fit and healthy
• Be honest and reliable
• Have a driver's licence and access to your own reliable transportation (essential)
• Have a strong work ethic
• Be happy to get your hands dirty!
• Be available for full-time hours, and able to work alternate weekends and public holidays
